Children’s Ministry – Children’s Ministry is provided during our Worship Gatherings for children ages birth to 5th grade. Children are supervised by qualified and caring children’s workers who teach them through crafts, Bible stories, and group interaction. It is our goal to provide each child a loving, caring, and fun atmosphere where they can enjoy age appropriate learning about God's character and His plan for their lives. Currently childcare workers serve one month on and two months off. All childcare workers are required to complete a background check prior to serving in the childcare area. The children’s ministry is separated into three areas. All team members are asked to attend two church wide team meetings per year, and one training event connected with their team.
Children’s Storyteller - Each week, a storyteller offers a story that prepares the children for the lesson. The story is provided and the storytellers are encouraged to share the story creatively. All team members are asked to attend two church wide team meetings per year, and one training event connected with their team.
Communion Team – The communion team maintains the supply of sacraments and prepares the Lord’s Table each week. The communion team selects two individuals to provide the bread and cup and cleans the table after worship. Finally, the communion team maintains the supply of candles, lights and extinguishes the candles each week. All team members are asked to attend two church wide team meetings per year, and one training event connected with their team.
Compassion Team – Members of the compassion team are responsible for organizing specific compassion opportunities throughout the year. For example, a compassion team member would give organization and oversight to the Special Olympics or the MLK, Jr. Home Restoration Project. This opportunity requires individuals who have a heart for sharing the love of Christ with our community and the world. All team members are asked to attend two church wide team meetings per year, and one training event connected with their team.
First Impressions Team – The First Impressions Team makes sure the Worship Gathering space is clean and orderly for the following week. The mostly requires some straightening up, but a periodic vacuuming is also necessary. This team is also responsible for placing our signs out front and collecting them after worship. All team members are asked to attend two church wide team meetings per year, and one training event connected with their team.
Greeter Team – The greeter team welcomes individuals into our worship gatherings. Currently, our greeters meet attendees at the front door and provide them with a warm welcome, a worship folder, and any information needed. Greeters are asked to be at their “post” at 10:10, or 20 minutes prior to worship. All team members are asked to attend two church wide team meetings per year, and one training event connected with their team.
Hospitality Team – The hospitality team creates a welcoming environment by providing drinks and snacks prior to worship. Hospitality team members maintain the drink and snack supply and should arrive 45 minutes prior to worship or at 9:45. All team members are asked to attend two church wide team meetings per year, and one training event connected with their team.

Usher Team – Each week, we take up an offering in our worship gatherings. This is one of the ways we express faith and worship to God. This is a time for our regular attendees – people who would call Veritas Church their church home. We encourage visitors to feel no obligation to participate in the offering. The usher team collects the offering each week. All team members are asked to attend two church wide team meetings per year, and one training event connected with their team.
